INSPIRATION
My background in textile design has influenced my paintings enormously. I paint in gouache, a water-based paint, that has a slightly chalky base to it. I love to combine my detailed drawings of flowers with very ornate backgrounds, incorporating patterns from different cultures that I discover from on my travels.
